Nelvik Norsk Hydro has their own ROV production with main focus on producing our own developed NELROV ROV’s and NELVIK-TRENCH Trenching systems.
Our design has high focus on the subsea industry requirements and environmental consequences of pollution during marine and under water operation.
We minimize the use of Hydraulic designs and deliver fully Electrical driven “Green ROVs“ that have no hydraulic oil in the primary drive systems.(Thrusters,Pan&Tilt units etc.)
Hydraulic systems are however used for Manipulator arm drives and other dedicated tooling.
We provide:
• NELROV ROV Systems in sizes from 50 HP to 450 HP
• NELVIK-TRENCH Trencher systems up to 2500 HP
• Tether Management System (all electric driven)
• A Frame & Umbilical Winch deployment system. (All electric driven)
Our ROV is an electrical powered Remote Operated Vehicle, a robot used for underwater construction tooling support activities and survey data collecting.
Our ROV design and ideas are based on long experience with operation and planning/preparation of subsea operations with related building of ROV’s and dedicated tooling equipment.
Our unique ROV designs give customers a more user efficient, reliably and easily maintained systems.
This has a highly positive effect for our clients, as the consequential surrounding costs from “down time” of these operations are very high.
